EYE MOVEMENT DESENSITZATION AND REPROCESSING

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma. EMDR therapy was created by Dr. Francine Shapiro. The client will focus on a traumatic memory while also focusing on eye movement or another form of bilateral sensory stimulation. During EMDR, the traumatic event is gently processed. EMDR has been used to help over 2 million people.

The therapist works with the client to identify a specific problem or multiple problems as a session focus. Then the therapist facilitates the directional eye movement of the patient. The time this process takes will vary from individual to individual.

Sessions are 50 minutes and I take private pay for all services. My rate is $280.00/hour.

Proudly serving clients in Atlanta, Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Roswell, Sandy Springs, Brookhaven, Milton, Marietta, Dunwoody, Buckhead, and the surrounding areas.
